Data Deletion

These Data Deletion instructions apply to Ommly, including the Ommly application at https://app.ommly.in. The canonical instructions are published at https://ommly.in/data-deletion/.

1. Who this page is for

Ommly is a product owned and operated by Omfinite X LLP. Use this page to request deletion of data that Ommly stores.

2. How an Ommly customer requests deletion

An authorised workspace owner or administrator can request deletion by:

  • emailing business@omfinitex.com with the subject “Data deletion request”; or
  • submitting a message on the contact page stating that you want Ommly tenant data deleted.

Include your name, the email used for the Ommly account, the workspace or business name, and enough detail for us to locate and verify the data. We may ask for additional verification before acting.

Cancellation of a subscription and deletion of data are separate concepts. Cancelling billing does not automatically delete stored workspace data.

3. What Ommly can delete

When a verified request is completed, Omfinite X LLP can delete tenant account data stored in Ommly, subject to verification, legal retention, backup lifecycle and security records where necessary, including:

  • contacts stored in the Ommly workspace;
  • messages stored by Ommly;
  • Ommly user accounts for that tenant;
  • credentials and tokens Ommly holds to connect that tenant’s authorised integrations.

Live systems are updated when deletion is completed. Backups rotate on a schedule; deleted records age out of backups rather than being erased from every historical copy on the same day. We may retain data required for tax, dispute, security or legal obligation.

4. What Ommly cannot independently delete

Deleting data in Ommly does not delete Meta-controlled records. Ommly cannot independently delete a customer’s WABA, WhatsApp phone number, Meta-side templates, Meta-controlled messaging records, or Meta account records.

The customer must manage those assets in Meta Business Suite / WhatsApp Manager. Disconnecting Meta or WhatsApp from Ommly stops Ommly from calling Meta APIs for that connection; it does not close the WABA or remove Meta-controlled records.

5. End-user requests vs platform-level requests

5.1 End-user of a business

If you received a WhatsApp message from a business that uses Ommly, that business is typically the controller of your record. Send deletion or opt-out requests to that business first. Omfinite X LLP / Ommly may redirect such requests to the customer and will assist the customer as processor where required.

5.2 Platform-level request to Omfinite X LLP / Ommly

Ommly customers, authorised workspace users, and people whose data we collected directly (for example a contact-form submission on ommly.in) may send a platform-level deletion request to Omfinite X LLP using the email or contact path above. That request covers data Ommly stores, not Meta-controlled records.

6. Response

We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and complete them within the period required by applicable law, or a reasonable period where no specific statutory deadline applies. Further process is described in the Data Rights, Deletion & Integration Disconnect policy and the Privacy Policy.
