WhatsApp Business API Pricing Explained

Understand what the WhatsApp Business API costs, how Meta charges work, and how Ommly's platform fee fits in.

Two separate cost layers

Using the WhatsApp Business API involves two distinct cost layers: the platform fee (what Ommly charges) and Meta's per-message charges (what Meta charges directly). These are separate and both apply.

Meta per-message pricing

Meta charges per message on the WhatsApp Business Platform, effective 1 July 2025. Charges vary by message category (marketing, utility, authentication, service) and by the country of the recipient's phone number. Meta updates these rates regularly — always verify current pricing at: developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/pricing

Conversation categories

  • Marketing: Promotional or campaign messages you initiate.
  • Utility: Transactional messages like order confirmations.
  • Authentication: OTP and verification messages.
  • Service: Replies within a customer-initiated 24-hour window (rates differ by market).

Ommly platform fee

Ommly charges a platform fee for access to the messaging interface, automation, team inbox, CRM layer and onboarding support. This fee is separate from Meta charges. Contact us for current pricing.
